The Making of Auntie Tan's Man Tou

We have heard many times from dad on their story of Man Tou (plain bun) back at home - Ipoh. Today, mum demonstrates the making of Man Tou in Melbourne.

Initially, we worried if the yeast will works at this weather. Surprisingly, it turned out to be as prefect as it was made in Ipoh.

I love man-tou too, simple taste yet so filling and satisfying. I used to buy these little man-tou for 10c each at my bakery store. However, times have changed in Singapore, many of these little and simple things no longer taste as good or are readily available. Bread in Singapore has become a beauty item, no longer a daily necessity for survival, some people call this "Progress", but is it ?

Yong Shuan looks so so so adorable !!! Thanks for sharing his photos, and for sharing your joy and happiness with the world.
